Editing style

I decided to show two different editing styles of mine. I enjoy shooting dark and gloomy stuff a lot, but I also like photographing makeup beauty.

Flower Series

For my Editorial Project I thought I would try out some more makeup shots. Here are 2 photos from the series. Once I am done with the series I will have 10 all together. Enjoy!

Experimenting

I've always wanted to play around with glue and food coloring to see what happens... Well I found out and I think it is pretty awesome! :)

Style

For a while... I thought about what my passion was with my photography. I've shot a lot of different styles/types over the past few months. I finally decided that my "style" is and pretty much will always have "darkness" to it. I do not mind this what so ever. I really enjoy "dark" photography. I am by far the "goth" type... I just like seeing photography a different way then most people would. I do think it is a good habit. I try and make it my style. I don't want to be the typical portrait photographer you go to, to take boring straight forward family portraits. I want to give the photograph that little extra.

It's been a while

I realized that I have not been on blogger.com in months. I decided to come back and start making more posts and add more of my work for you all to see.
It has been a long time and my photography has improved. I would like to think anyway. So here is a little example of what I have been doing for the past few months.
(this is the newest photo I have. Was taken two days ago.)

Self Portrait

I decided one night to take some self portraits. I don't have many photos of myself that I like, because they were not taken by me. So I took my tri-pod, set up two lights and stood up next to a black blanket that was hanging up on the wall. When I was done taking the photos I was rather pleased with them. I hardly take just portraits, I am used to someone doing something and not sitting there starring at me.

Red Rocks

This photo was taken at the South Valley Park down by Littleton, Colorado. This was one of several shots I took in this small area. There was a wonderful view of the valley from each opening surrounding the rocks. I loved the depth of field that I was getting from each shot.
